About Billy

Billy Simons is a decorated chicken wing enthusiast who has been writing music for nearly 20 years and has written and illustrated three books (Earth Is Not A Planet, Hugo & the Red Balloon and The Bad, Bad Bully’s Alphabet Book: A Cautionary Tale). He has created a YouTube series of animated music videos for kids (look up Babbatoons!) and has also written and recorded eight studio albums. In an earlier life, he played shows with Bobby McFerrin, Susan Tedeschi, Phil Vassar, and Tim Reynolds and regularly played solo shows at the Bitter End in Greenwich Village. He has always enjoyed telling stories and drawing nonsense, often with an unreasonable amount of detail. He was once roommates with Mark Zuckerberg but he doesn’t really like to talk about it. He DOES like talking about acoustic guitars, especially old ones.
